Websites
Web Design in Windhoek for Businesses Across Namibia
We design and build websites for Namibian businesses that need to look as good online as they are in person: fast on a phone, clear about what you do, and built to turn a visit into a WhatsApp message.
What a business website actually has to do
Most people who land on your website are deciding one thing: whether to contact you or the next name on the list. They decide in seconds, usually on a phone, often on mobile data. A good site earns its keep by answering three questions quickly. What do you do? Can I trust you? How do I reach you?
That sounds simple, and it is, which is exactly why it's worth getting right. Plenty of business sites fail at least one of the three. The services are buried under a slideshow, the phone number is an image that can't be tapped, or the page takes so long to load that the visitor gives up before they've seen anything.
What we focus on in every build
- A first screen that explains itself. Within a few seconds a visitor should know what you do and where you are.
- Contact the way people here actually use it. WhatsApp, a phone number you can tap, and email, easy to find on every page rather than hidden behind a form.
- Speed on ordinary phones. Pages that load quickly on a mid-range Android handset on mobile data, not only on office Wi-Fi.
- Real proof. Your projects, your premises, your people. Stock photos of handshakes don't win anyone's trust.
- Search foundations from day one. Proper page titles, descriptions, structured data and a sitemap, so Google understands what you do and where you do it.
Design that matches the quality of your work
Look at the sites in our portfolio and you'll notice they don't resemble each other. The Go4Wood site opens on a split screen of warm timber and dark steel, because the workshop does both under one roof. Lombard International's site is bright, orderly and practical, because a transport company's clients want to see that their cargo is in careful hands. Minaqua's site is cool, deep blue and clean, because the product is purity.
That's the point. A template gives you a site that looks like everyone else's. We start from what your business is and how your customers make decisions, and design from there.
Not only for Windhoek
We're based in Windhoek, but the work isn't limited to the capital. Lombard International runs out of Walvis Bay. Go4Wood is a coastal workshop that delivers nationwide. Minaqua serves customers from branches in Windhoek and Walvis Bay. Distance matters far less than it used to: a website project can run over WhatsApp, email and calls, wherever in Namibia you are.
Five questions to ask any web designer before you hire them
Whether you work with us or someone else, these will tell you a lot:
- Can I see sites you've built that are live right now? A screenshot can be mocked up. A live site can't.
- Who will I actually be talking to? At some agencies you meet a salesperson once and never hear from them again. With us, your message goes straight to our CEO.
- Will the domain be registered in my business's name? It should be. If the relationship ends, your address on the internet shouldn't leave with the developer.
- What happens after launch? Ask who fixes things when something breaks, how quickly, and what it costs.
- How fast is it on my phone? Open one of their live sites on your own phone, on mobile data, and see for yourself.
Websites are often the first piece of a bigger picture. If what you really need is a customer portal, an internal dashboard or a quoting tool, have a look at our custom software and business systems work too.
