Proof, not promises
Our Work: Websites Built for Namibian Businesses
Live sites for very different businesses: a furniture and steel workshop on the coast, a family transport company in Walvis Bay, a water purification brand serving Windhoek and the coast, and an offshore training programme bringing young Namibians into oil and gas. Each one is online right now, so you can judge it for yourself.

On the surface, not much. One sells built-to-order dining tables and steel gates. One moves mining equipment and abnormal loads across borders. One purifies and delivers drinking water. Their customers range from homeowners to mining operations to office managers. A single template could never have served them all.
Underneath, though, each site had the same job: take a business that is excellent at what it does in person and make that obvious to someone who has never met them, in the few seconds before they decide whether to get in touch.
- Each site looks like its business. Warm timber against dark steel for Go4Wood. Clean, bright and orderly for a transport company whose clients want reassurance. Deep, cool blue for a water brand.
- Each site makes contact easy. Phone numbers and email addresses in plain view, a direct way to send an enquiry, and WhatsApp where the client uses it.
- Each site shows rather than tells. Real products, real services and real locations instead of vague claims.
Inside each case study
Go4Wood has no stock at all: every table, gate and counter is built to order. The Go4Wood case study looks at how a website sells a capability rather than a product, through a catalogue split into wood, steel and hybrid collections with a quote button on every piece.
Lombard International's customers are handing over mining equipment and hazardous cargo, so trust comes first. The Lombard International case study covers a site built around reassurance: the services, the family running the business, how every trip is planned, and answers to the questions clients ask first.
Minaqua needed more than a brochure. The Minaqua case study walks through a brand site with a full product range, the purification process step by step, both branches on Google Maps, and a hydration calculator that suggests a weekly order.
How to judge any web designer's portfolio
If you're comparing studios, here is what we'd suggest looking for, in ours and everyone else's:
- Are the sites live? Open them. A live site shows you how it performs on a real connection, which a screenshot never will.
- Do the sites look different from each other? If every project in a portfolio looks the same, yours will too.
- Try them on your phone. Most of your customers will. Check how quickly they load on mobile data and whether you can call or message the business in one tap.
- Can you tell what each business does within five seconds? If the designer couldn't make that clear for their own clients, they won't for you.
Each case study explains who the client is, what the site needed to do, and how it's put together, with a link to the live site at the end. If you're planning something similar, our pages on website design in Windhoek and custom business systems go into more detail about how we work.
